Neither of your cameras have built in Wi-fi so you need to address this first - its hardware not software. In terms of Tethering -- there basically 2 types - image transfer and control.
Question for you is why tether -- is it part of your studio workflow -- if so go wired just buy a nice long brightly coloured cable and a couple of elastic bands; or? The best and cheapest way is to plug an ethernet cable into your camera and your router.
There are lots of vids on YouTube how to tether a Nikon - here is one www. Use Set-up Network in the menu, create a new profile. User name is Nikon and leave password blank Select Live View on the Browser and control shooting remotely, image review etc This process is fully described in the user manual.
This works really well. I have not been able to use CaptureOne and Nikon tethered since upgrading to El capitan. I also understand that there is there is a compatibility problem with El Capitan - and so Nikon Camera Control may not work - Nikon say they are working on it.
BUT first ask yourself why go wi-fi if you can just use an ethernet cable-- it quicker and more reliable. An Eye-Fi card is not the same as tethering. Its simply for downloading of images. It gives a wi-fi image transfer solution. The new Mobi version is better than the older pro.
